Email Marketing Starter

Sending email to your clients and potential clients can be useful. It can also hurt you.

Do you send email that helps your audience? Do you send emails that are designed to be consumed in a few minutes? Do you send email that people want? Do you send teasers, and then pray that they will follow your links and generate page views?

What are your goals?
Your email campaign needs some guidance – at least understand what you want to accomplish, and why. Reasons I like email, if they are relevant:

Email Technology
This is a funny title, but over time, we find that people don’t understand that they will have trouble sending lots of email from their home or office internet provider service.

There are several big players, some better than others. Some of the things I look at when I review an email provider.

Features
Can I upload my current list?
Will it force everyone to opt in?
Will it manage bounces for me?
How expensive is it?
What sort of volume do I expect?
Can I use my website as a template?
Can I afford a designer every time?

Decide on some of these details before you start your campaign, and it will go a long way to success in email marketing.
